detours

DETOURS!
Sheesh, who said life wouldn't have any detours? They were seriously mistaken if anyone did say that! But if you really think about it, I guess its true. I dont know if anyone that reads this is spiritual, but I am. I do believe that God has a plan for us, and what seem like detours, or even pit stops, or even a thought like "Hey! Why are we going to Disneyland, when we can go to Disney World?!" can make our actual road trip change. Thats what happens, things CHANGE. Whether we like it or not, they do. Do we just accept the new found challenge ahead of us? Or do we hold onto our original plan? I'm a firm believer that it all is subject to change. Sometimes God wants us to hold on, sometimes he doesn't. But no offense to the big man, that feeling sucks. Especially when you dont know what to do anymore. What will happen once you come up to that junction? Will you turn right or left? That my friends, is its own Pin Point. The decisions we make now, will shape our future ya? You've heard this. But little do we sit and think about that poignancy. We just made a life altering decision, things aren't going to be what they used to be, and we made it that way. Take responsibility for your actions, stand  up for what you believe, and never back down. That is what makes you different. Trials in adversity! Each decision is the start of a new Pin Point...Will you turn right or left?

We are Young!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv6dMFF_yts

Some of you might be wondering, "What the llama is she going to make me watch?" with this youtube link. (I know all of you said that exact phrase too... Anyways, its the link to a song We Are Young by Fun. BEST SONG EVER! At least for today.
I am in a super de duper empowerment pin point in my life right now. I have accepted my power of awesomeness... This song is all about being young. "So lets set the world on fire, we can burn brighter, than the sun." are lyrics from this wonderful anthem. Who couldn't like this song?
This gives me inspiration, that no matter how old I act, I am young! I need to act like it sometimes. I'm all for being mature for my age, but isn't that what being young is all about? Making mistakes, learning from them, its all apart of a cycle isn't? It goes on, but not to the same magnitude as when we're young.
My Pin Point Challenge to you, is to see where you are and make a pin point! Dont let whatever point your at in your life just pass you by. Make it memorable! Why freaking not? If your at school and your one of those robots and just go to school, what is so memorable about that? ADVENTURE OUT INTO THE UNKNOWN! This is the time to make mistakes, or learn about yourself.
To me, it all comes down to courage. You really make life what you want it to be. Dont hide behind excuses, and put yourself out there. No one wants to look back on any part of their life and say, "Oh ya, I guess I was just going to school. Oh I was just starting my career." I WAS JUST are evil words!
Break out! Do something out of the ordinary, something memorable. So people can remember you, who you  are and what you stand for.
Make a Pin Point in your life. For it will be a lonesome road without one.

New Years

NEW YEARS!
Ok, so new Pin Point *tangent* decided not to number my Pin Points, too many to count.
Anywhoo- so of course New Years Eve for me was more poignant then New Years day. Well lets think about this, NYE (New Years Eve) is designed to make people ponder about the year before. Well 2011 was a hard year for everyone. Mine personally was filled with life choices. This is the year that I looked at one highway in my life, and I could see my future in its entirety. I saw every day, every year, and every possibility for the rest of that trip. You know those awesome 'only in emergency's' little U turn things on the freeway? Well unfortunately, California doesn't have many of those. If I went down that freeway, there are only a few possibilities of coming back home, so again, my roadtrip would turn into a moving truck. *tangent* my car of choice is a little red corvette..thank you Prince...and a little bit of Josh... anywhoo.
SO I decided to go down the path that I was going on, plenty of Emergency U turns down that one. Geeze, its college, its nothing but U turns. I decided that if I wanted to, that if it worked out that way, I would go back down that path. It could be fun. Actually it would be fun, that I know. The people I 'roadtripped' with were nothing short of inspirational. Isn't that crazy, how the people that are in your life physically and emotionally change you. So now I am a different navigator because of it. With different pit stops and gas stations along the way.

SO there I was, New Years eve, a new person in an old place. Crazy huh? I have found that that's the case with alot of people on this day. The day where we all realize, we are so different than we thought we'd ever be. With different priorities, different passions, different looks, different goals....which brings us full circle to the day of goals.
My Advice-to all those lost souls out there... your not alone, everyone is facing new experiences and we are all feeling the same way. The greatest thing about that feeling, is we need it to move on in life. The feeling of fear of the future, the insecurity of moving on makes us do just that. It shows us that our past was important to us. It shows us that what we went through in our past wasn't in vain.

SO PEOPLE!
Lets embrace it! Embrace the feelings of fear, so you can finally move onto the new freeways in life. So you..can add another Pin Point to your map.
